First class shuttle service

First class shuttle service

OXO wrote: Employers in metropolitan areas fail to find employees to live within a reasonable distance of their location. Due to the increasing growth of cities, real estate prices are rising. It is hardly possible to find affordable housing in the city area. The result: around 1. 8 million people in germany drive 60 km and more by car every day. . The consequences for the employees: little sleep from getting up early, stress due to traffic jams and almost no time for recreation and family. They spend more than ten hours per week on the road. . Oxo gives people their time back: a first-class shuttle allows to relax, get some private things done or even work productively... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

Solutions for automated energy efficienct indoor environments

Solutions for automated energy efficienct indoor environments

Arrigo is a cloud based open system which allows integration with other systems operating in other standards. This includes the equipment of other brands, even within building energy system monitoring and control. It can be used to improve the energy efficiency of buildings with chilled water systems. The greater operability between the systems could improve demand for energy control systems.

Festera is an indoor composter

Festera is an indoor composter

Festera wrote: In estonia only ⅕ of biowaste is being sorted. Most of biowaste is being burned or put into landfills. This causes dangerous emission of greenhouse gases. Our solution is a biobox - trash can that decomposes biowaste at homes. A complicated product, a simple idea. The food waste goes in, humus comes out - 10 times quicker than common composting. Fresh humus, the final product, can be used as a fertilizer. No smell, no flies and the nordic designed biobox only needs to be emptied once in every 2 months. Sustainability and nordic design make us unique among competitors. Festera has grown out of europe's best student company in 2017... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

Industrial reycling of tyre material

Industrial reycling of tyre material

Enviro has developed a process for recycling old tyre material into several useful products. The process, where the tyres are introduced as shredded pieces, includes pyrolysis followed by separation and treatment, resulting in steel that can be sold, industry-grade oil, gas that is re-used for energy in the recycling process, and carbon black, which is sold for reusage in new products. The innovation is unique in its ability to evenly heat the tyre material in the reactor, allowing for high efficiency and enables the extraction of carbon black from the material.

Water from air without energy

Water from air without energy

Sponsh wrote: The united nations expect that within 30 years, half the world’s population will experience water stress. However, nature has learned over millions of years how to survive in dry, coastal areas: they retrieve their water from air. So we thought: why don’t we do that. . Inspired by nature, we developed technology that produces water from air, using a smart, temperature-sensitive textile. During the night, when temperature are low, the textile absorbs large amounts of water from air. During the day, as temperatures rise, the fibres in the textile contract and release all the water. That way, driven by the natural temperature cycles of day and night, this textile can produce abundant water for irrigation and drinking water. ... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad
