Stefan Henningsson, Climate Specialist, Nordea at EC DG R&I, co-hosted workshop

Stefan Henningsson, Nordea, presented different types of sustainable financing and clarified the rationale for issuing Green Bonds. Henningsson described examples and identified opportunities for using avoided emissions impact assessments for an investment portfolio where he identified opportunities for Mission Innovation’s Net-Zero Compatible Innovations Initiative (NCI) to engage. He also mentioned UNEP-FI as a strategic stakeholder with a number of initiatives where the work of NCI could be integrated.
