Dennis Pamlin, Lead, Mission Innovation’s Net-Zero Compatible Innovations Initiative at EC DG R&I co-hosted workshop

Dennis Pamlin, RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, presented Mission Innovation’s Net-Zero Compatible Innovations Initiative and gave an overview of the work done by the project and its network of partners. Pamlin highlighted the different benefits of assessing avoided emissions, but also the need to assess 1.5 °C compatibility and focus on Low Energy Demand as a driver for transformative system solutions. All interested participants were invited to contribute in different ways to gather and support innovations that can avoid over 60 gigatonnes of global emissions by 2030.
